Fan Switch Method Help??? OK MY PLAN IS TO CONNECT A WIRE TO BOTH THE BLUE AND GREEN FAN GROUND WIRES.. THEN RUN THAT WIRE TO A SIMPLE ROCKER SWITCH THAT HAS A GROUND PLUGED INTO THE OTHER SIDE....
WILL THIS TURN ON BOTH THE HIGH AND LOW SPEED FAN WITHOUT THROWING ANY CODES OR MAKEING ANY OTHER PROBLEMS..?

I am assuming you are trying to do the cooling fan mod.

thanks, but ive seen a few writeups and am wondering why this wouldent work.... they all seem to hint at a problem with throwing codes bbut i dont see why... all im concerned with it is running the fans for max cooling without running into any pcm problems

first there is no turning on high and low. It's an either or situation. Yes that will trip the high speed fans. However it will also set an SES. There is a reason that correct write ups are made and why there isn't one that is a simple ground switch.
..why? ok how do i wire up the fans just to turn on hi .. also its my understanding there is a high speed fan and a low speed fan ??? if you turn them both on it will throw codes????

either way whats the simplest method for turning the fans on to the max cooling capasity...

low = both fans on at low speed
high= both fans on at high speed
each fan isn't a different speed.
The way you have it it will trigger both fans to come on at high speed. But your still going to have ses codes from it.

without desecting an SLP switch I can't tell you. For obvious reasons I do not wish to disclose the methods that I use in the switches that I sell. I can tell you that you will get a code by just grounding the driver signals. this problem is why a lot of people with an OBDII system opt to buy a set up from a place that biulds them for the correct operation. you might in time find teh answer somewhere. But I can't be of much more help.
ok well thats simpler than messing with it.... hbh how much for a switch with 2 leds that one orange lights up for low speed and a red and orange light up for highspeed delivered to daytona beach fl 32124
