XM radio....
My first question is....Where does everyone mount their XM receivers? I have the roady 2 and I cant seem to find a good location for it. Any pictures would rock....
second, has anyone had a problem with their stereo being static like? I know it has something to do with the antenna since when I unplug it from the back of the stock head unit the static disappears.

I don't know on where to mount it your radio.
I guess you are using an FM modulator, I know several people with XM and Sirius, and they all have static on them when use the FM modulator. The only solution I know of is install it using Aux. inputs.

normally i would say you are correct about the FM modulator, but this happens on regular FM channels as well but goes away if i unplug the antenna from the back of the headunit

are you using the modulator built in the roady 2 ecause those suck you need a direct modulator you'll need 2 antenna adapters if your using the factory stereo a 40 gm10 and a 40 gm 20, now if your getting static when your trying to listen a regular fm sation and getting satic its probably because you have your roady 2 on you need to turn it off to listen to regular radio or it will bleed in no matter what station your tuned to

I mounted mine in the same place as 2K2WS6TA i used a piece of sheet metal to mount it. Buy the direct connector from the roady 2 to the radio it is about $70 well worth it. Go to the xm forum to find it.

for the antenna i routed the wire to the side- down the pillar and put the actual antenna inside where the defrost air comes out of, there is a NICE little square place to put it on. Works very welll!
