Default Rockford Fosgate speakers:

I am looking to purchase the Rockford Fosgate RFP 4406 speakers to replace the stock sail panel speakers in a 98 T/A, and would like your help in finding someone who may carry these. Thanks.

No retailer carries those as they are 2 or 3 years obsolete. Your best bet is Ebay.

Just like he said. Rockford doesnt make them anymore so they will be alot harder to find.
You might be able to get a used set from an online auction but I would go with replacing both of them with new ones.

BUMP on this thread

I really would like to find out an alternative to the RF sail panel speakers.

Anyone else know of another brand and model?

I'm installing Pioneer TS-M7PRS (as soon as I have time). But if that's too pricey ($185), I also like the Audiobahn AMD60Q's.

Infinity makes 2ohm 6.5's that fit like stock. I ended up putting Infinity 62.7i's up front in my 02 Z28, fit like stock and required zero modifications, they even are set up with 2 seperate inputs for woofer and tweeter like the stock speaker. They sounded so good I decided to get another set of the 62.7i's off ebay and put them in the sail panel, they also fit in the sail panel perfect. The stock sub has a piece of carboard on the bottom to cover a small square cutout for the wires to go to the speaker. I just used a 2 inch piece of sound deadening and worked great. Behind the sailpanel sub there is a area about 5x8 cutout, for what reason I have no clue, but I covered it with the sound deadening to make the space smaller and let the Infinity sound better. I removed my 4 inch speakers in the far back and ran the wires to the tweeter on the 62.7i. Setup sounds much better than stock and took about 20 minutes on each side of the sail panel. I turned off all the low bass using the Kenwood HU and let the Memphis Audio 10's play all the low bass. Really happy with the overall sound now and even at 3/4 volume is clear and there isn't audible distortion like the stock speakers. I paid $92 a set shipped on ebay and arrived in 3 days.
