Default Weird turning signal problem

Well I noticed a few days ago that my front turning signal wasn't working. The left side works perfect.

The right side front doesnt work and when i turn it on, the rear turns on but doesnt blink. The indicator light on the guage area also turns on but doesn't blink.

I replaced the front bulb and the electrodes were heavily corroded. It worked fine for a day or two but it is doing the same thing now.

Also one of my headlights wasn't flipping up for a while when this was going on, but that seems to work now(i don't think it was gear related, seemed like it wasn't even getting a signal to flip up). Any ideas?

When I had blinker problems like this I replaced the whole socket, problem solved. Not sure about the headlight thing, but the usual reported problem is the gears. Maybe a couple of teeth worn?

The turn signal problem is caused by the burned out bulb on the side that doesn't flash. That, in turn, is caused by the corrosion in the socket. Our cars are infamous for getting water in the front signal lenses. You can try cleaning out the socket corrosion with battery terminal cleaner and putting dielectric grease in before installing a new bulb. If the socket is too badly corroded you'll have to replace it. You can get replacement sockets at auto parts stores much cheaper than at the dealer.

Aah, mine just started doing this this morning. I'll check and see if my bulbs are the problem. If I find anything out before you get it fixed, I'll let you know.

Yep mine did same thing the day I bought the car. Replaced bulb worked fine. Could your headlight issue maybe be due to a bad ground? I had a problem with one of my headlight not lighting up and traced it to a corroded connector. I bypassed the connector and works fine now.

It def was corroded excessively, i thought it was possibly the connector. So can i just ask fora new connector and then just splice the new one in and take out the old one?

Yep just cut the wires to the old connector and splice in the new one. One trick I did to prevent the corrosion issue from happening again is to drill a very small hole in the bottom of the lense so water will drain out. Be careful if you do it though the lense will crack if you push to hard. Now i have to buy a new tail light for the same water leaking issue. There goes $250

Well i cleaned out the socket w/ a file and electonic cleaner. It works now but it still is corroded. The autoparts stores i went to didnt have a new socket, i still would like to replace it if possible.
