QTP switch... what are other options?

QTP switch... what are other options? That's one heck of a switch that comes with the QTP cutout... but is there anything that is a little more "low profile" that works the same? Just curious...

I had my slp fan switch in my ashtray and it woudn't fit in there anymore so put the quick time in there instead..had to get a new ashtray as the hole for my fan switch was a lot bigger than the quick time switch hole..it was like 10 bucks US so not bad.I might make a plate for the ashtray area later on,think that might let me mount the three things I want to in there..quick time,slp fan switch and some kind of line lock.Planning on nos but getting nx switch panel for that.fits neatly in the area next to the lighter.

From the driver seat you can barely see the switch with your eye, and it is totally out of sight from the passengers seat. Took all of 5 mins to drill a small hole in the back of that plastic thing, feed the wires in and tap a 12v line to power it. Haven't had any problems since and it stays in place really good.
also check out comparison between qtec and mccord in my post, you will see which is of greater quality.

Re: QTP switch... what are other options? Isn't this just like any other toggle switch? Check out partsexpress.com or radioshack and you should be able to pick up a pretty decent simple toggle or push on/off switch that would do the same thing.

Re: QTP switch... what are other options? i put mine under the steering wheel on the right side, it is completly out of site from both sides. i may move it to the above the ash tray and get the convertible plate and mount the switch there, and then i could put other switches on there too and it will look semi stock

Re: QTP switch... what are other options? I soldered the wires to the male prongs and it made it MUCH easier to fit the switch in the ashtray. Fits perfectly now. No more clearance issues.
Re: QTP switch... what are other options? I have the convertible switch on my MPP2. Everyone told me it wasn't possible to put the switch where I did, I never wanted to believe them. I was out to prove wrong. As you can see from the pic, it looks alot better than your ashtray or center console being used up. I like the complete stock look of it.

Re: QTP switch... what are other options? Swan- Why did you even bother putting a convertible switch up there? A TCS switch is/does the same thing, and is designed to fit right in there.
