Remote start problem on a m6

Remote start problem on a m6 I,ve had my remote start and alarm for about a year now and it is set where
you have to activate it with the e-brake up and the car in neutral then get
out lock the doors and then my car shuts off. When I get ready then I just
push the button and it start so its a safe remote start. My problem is
sometimes my factory alarm will go off for no reason. I figured since I got a
aftermarket alarm and remote start that the factory alarm would no longer be
active. I didn't install this I had it done professionally. Also sometimes before
I activate the remote start I have trouble getting the e-brake to ingage and
remote start want activate. Anybody know,whats causeing these problems?

A buddy of mine had a problem with his not working right in his m6 camaro. He just took it to the guy that did it and he knew what the prob was right away. It must be a recurring problem in the f bodies

Many mechanics do not mess with remote starters or alarms, they only take them out. Personally I dont think they are worth the trouble.

Just program the factory alarm off using the instructions in your owner's manual or posted here. That should take care of it going off for no reason.

Disable your factory alarm. I know sometimes you can get interferance with the factory alarm still active in conjunction with an aftermarket alarm.
Not everybody has a winter beater. And if he lives somewhere that doesnt see much snow, its still very helpful to warm up the car on those cold mornings.
