Firebird Speaker addition question
EDIT: I only ask why you want hatch speakers because most usually dump them down the road... I would reconsider this idea.

If you want better/louder sound, upgrade your current system (HU/speakers/amp/etc..)
-also, like I said before - you can't really just "add" speakers into your existing system without purchasing an amplifier to power them (or run them off HU and whatever other speakers off the amp)
1. Upgrade the HU
2. Upgrade the speakers (amp the fronts, let the HU power the rears)
3. Add a subwoofer
This will be super easy since you have the basic setup, not the 10 speaker setup.
if you read earlier i will be buying Alpine speakers all the way around.. not just keeping the stock.. maybe i typed it wrong.. i don't want to add the speakers into the stock system.. i want to add them to my other Alpines when I get them.. I am no car audio buff.. so how is the best way to wire it? and where do you other F-Body owners install your amp?

I would just get a nice set of components for the doors (Alpines aren't the best for this..) then some nice coaxials for the rear sails...amp them all, of just the components..

Usually the amp is put in the trunk....either mounted on a wall/board somewhere, in the "hatch" area itself, somewhere near the spare... Just play around with your amp, see where you like it/where it fits..
I've got a smaller one in the left well area in the trunk:

and a good HU to go along with it?
Just don't limit yourself to Alpine - here are some other's to consider as door components (staying away from high end stuff):
Kenwood, Infinity, Polk, MB Quartz, Pioneer, Phoenix Gold, Elemental Designs...in no particular order.
Everything depends on what you're willing to spend. What is your price range for a HU?
