Default "Low Oil" light will not turn off///

It wont go off.. oil level is fine... but the light wont go off. Anyone ever have this.. Should I just replace the sensor or does anyone have any experience with this problem.

yeah mine would get stuck, i seafoamed my car and i guess it unstuck the float, bc it works now after the seafoam in the crankcase.

Make sure the sensor on the side of the oil pan is plugged in bc i had the same problem lol.

If it tripped cause the oil level was actually low it should go off by itself after a few ignition cycles/warm-ups - won't turn off just by pulling in somewhere and adding oil. Remember looking this up in my helms for someone before, I'll look for the thread...

Couldn't find the thread so looked it up again - After filling to the proper level light should turn off after the PCM sees 194 degrees, and the ignition remains off for a minimum of 1 hour, then it rechecks it on the next ignition cycle. I was close...don't know if it's the same for all years.

your low oil sensor is on the drivers side of your oil pan, make sure its plugged in or not damaged

On the LS1 it's on the passenger side of the pan - PN 12603782
