Monsoon Awesomeness I just pulled the stock speakers out of the sail panels and i knew that it was blown, but i had no idea it was this bad. This is hooked up to my sony home system and it is playing the bassiest track i could find, this is turned about 1/4 the way up, because anything more just cut the speaker off.
acutally, the cutting off demonstrates a limitation of your home system not being able to handle the low impeadance of the speaker, and if your protection circuitry in the home system is sub-par, you could even fry your outputs by doing this.

when i got that sucker out, the foam was all torn up, but it was still attached . This isnt the first attempt to play through that speaker though. When i first hooked it up, i played that same song through the same cd player. Thats when i wish i had the camera. The half way torm up foam went flying everywhere. it looked like it exploded. so yes, the surround was on it when it came out, chevy didnt get THAT bad of a speaker.
