10" Kicker CVX or 10" Alpine Type X
Who has heard either of these subs in a stealth subthump box, wich one did you think sounded the best, and what amp would be a great amp for each sub?? Or if you do not like either of these subs, post what you like.
Thanks for the help

Alpines were good subs.. I personally am an Apline fan.. I used to work at Power Plant Car Audio and Accessories.. www.powerplantweb.com
I have three kickers, and I'm not really impressed with them. If you're going for SPL subs, there are better subs out there than either. If you want, pm me with what you're planning on powering the subs with (because power is the key) and what type of space you're looking to use (air space).

had a similar question i asked over at caraudio.com, unless you're running one of mikes stealth boxes, you're probably going to want to run a sub that requires less airspace, they say that .6 will work, but most say that really isnt enough. I currently own an FI ssd 10 inch, which has a smaller mounting depth, creating less dispalcement and requiring less internal airspace of your box. TC is a brand that the caraudio.com guys like, and they just released a sweet looking 10" sub that works in .3 cubic feet, and looks awesome. Let me try to find it. http://www.tcsounds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1013

Type X is a very nice subwoofer however, the size of the motor structure and magnet takes up alot of your airspace volume. I know it says that a Type X works in a sealed enclosure of .5-1.0 cu.ft. of airspace but the size of the sub itself needs to be taken into account. Most subs do not take up that much room in an enclosure. Type X, W7's, JBL W10GTi, etc. take up alot of room in an enclosure. More than the average subwoofer. I think I'd chose a different sub for the stealth enclosure.

The type x would be my pick between them....Those se's are nice.......I should have bought abunch in the group buy before the prices went up. Might check out the new idq when they release the new version.
