So i might jump on the wagon and get a stealth box. I just got my deck installed today along with 2 pioneer 4 ways and 2 alpine type r 2-ways.
I like how it sounds but i miss the bass.
I'm not huge into car audio to where id spend a load of cash, but i want something decent. I want solid low bass but not something i need to dynomat the hell out of. If that makes sense.
I have been reading some threads, but lately when i search the section is sending me to google...
So with that said, im trying to stay completely objective and not be swayed by what i think i like based on name brands. There are alot of good subs out there that i may have never heard of. please enlighten me.
I dont want to really set a price range, cuz i use ebay alot..but nothing that would retail for for like 300.

well i think its about the most. but id spend more...
i can get the type x on ebay for maybe 180ish or less, the box can be had for 80ish. then id need an amp for the X...so im sure it would go over 300 a tad lol
and i have no problem ebaying things.

i didnt read your entire post but if you are getting the 10" stealth buy a 10" Kicker cvr and a hifonics BXi 606d. and if its the 12" get the 12" CVR and the same amp. should bump nicely.

Take back those 4-ways and replace them with 2-ways before you consider doing anything else ![The Judge](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_judge.gif)
Type X is overrated. It's not bad but it costs too much. See link in sig. for suggestions.

i would suggest Image dynamic ID subs. they are clean and can be had for fairly cheap on ebay ($129 new). thats probably what i will use once i start building my system. as far as amps go i would suggest JBL GTO600.1 which gives more power then youd need, leaving the amp running cool and clean.
which deck did you get installed? i ask this because this amp (like all others) give a power rating based on a signal thats arond 4 volts. if your deck isnt a mid to upper end deck then chances are you are getting around 2 volts of signal, and thus you want an amp thats rated higher than what you need if you want to power your sub.
