Automatic headlights: How do you turn them off at night?

Automatic headlights: How do you turn them off at night? I know that there is a sensor somewhere (I believe in the dash somewhere) that automatically turns on the headlights when it reaches a certain darkness, I was wondering how you turn them off? Ive tried messing with the switch for the lights and no luck. The only thing that I can do is turn them on in the day. I want to be able to turn them off at night. Is this possible? If so, how. Thanks

Re: Automatic headlights: How do you turn them off at night? I wasnt actually looking into disconnecting, modifying or taking anything apart, I was just looking for a way to bypass it. For instance, on the Chevrolet pick up trucks it has the automatic headlights too, but all you have to do is hit the dome override twice and they shut off. There has to be a way to do it on the Camaros too?

I know thats not the correct way to do it, is there a correct way? Didnt mean to ignore your reply Hawgs, but I was looking for a different answer, but I do appreciate your help. I just thought there was a way like the Chevy truck do. So wiring them up to the fog lights is possible? Anyone done them like that? How would I go about doing so? Is this a hazard? Thanks

just putting it up one click doesnt put any pressure on the emergency brake. are you looking to drive around a lot at night without your lights on?

Re: Automatic headlights: How do you turn them off at night? pulling the e-brake, is rumored to also disables ABS brakes. It could cause problems with ASR not working correctly as well.

Re: Automatic headlights: How do you turn them off at night? I would not suggest using the E-brake to disable your lights. As said above, it can cause wear on your system. Disable the sensor (I've been told it's mounted around the rear view mirror) or cover it up.
