Default Just finished building a Stealth box... PICS

This is my first time building something other than a rectangle box and it turned out pretty good. Not the prettiest thing from the back but you don't see that anyways so here it is! Comments please!

Is that epoxy you used to seal it? Needs some finishing touches to prevent that epoxy (or whatever) from showing..

Looks like there are staples holding the fabric on? Or are those nails holding the box together? Sorry -- hard for me to tell from the pics.

With all that said though - that is not an easy box to make. With some minor improvements, I think it could look really nice.

EDIT: Actually it's probably mostly the view the pic was taken from...if it were squared up more with the box, it would look better -- also, I think that plastic piece above it can move down and back some more to cover the gap better....

take some more pics! (w/ wires gone also)

No it's some silicone sealer I had laying around. The reason it isn't totally covered is I got a dual 10" box from a friend for free, so I cut it up to make this.

Yup those are staples. I have a pneumatic stapler (I believe they're about an inch long) that I used to put it together. The flash really brought them out because you normally can't see them. I don't have extra fabric, so I just painted some of the edges that showed. Like I said, not show-quality but it costed me nothing to make it.

Thanks for the comment!

For a zero dollar investment it sure isn't bad... It's quite an eyes sore though.. I say dump a little money into it and make it a little less noticeable..

Did you use any glue besides the staples? Just curious... I know you sealed the outside (strange) with silicon....but what is really holding the box together? The staples could come out over time..

Yup, I used glue on all pieces so it's held together really well.

It sounds great for a Sony Xplod 600W I had from a system in my SHO and the P1 Punch which I paid $10 for (from the same guy I got the box from). It has good range and I didn't want something that's going to be rattling the whole car. I just wanted something that was going to sound good and that's what it does.

Thanks for the comments!
