Nope! The converter doesn't affect your shift points enough to warrant a "tune". If it does, then the converter has to much slip. The ECM uses MPH to shift during part throttle, and it uses RPM and MPH during WOT. As I said, it is not required, but you can definately benefit from it. I used to drive a Vig3200 (4000 actual stall) daily and I never had it tuned.

I have a fuddle 3000 and it runs awesome and i have never had a tune.
I would say install it and see how it does. If you don't hit the rev limiter and if torque management isn't an issue you should be fine.

Don't see how, unless maybe it messed up your ecm because your engine would rev quicker.
But that doesn't make sense either.
