Well, I have been waiting for a clutch from Ace and last night Cale Aronson sent me a picture of my clutch. The new Nex-Gen long style 10" twin discs. Had been waiting for the for flywheels to be machined.
As for disc material, Cale said cerametallic disc will be perfect since it will see some street duty.

Clutch came in yesterday. Cale sent a single sintered iron disc and said it would be enough for my application. We are still discussing the dual disc option.
All weighed in at 26 lbs!
Since it is a Ford spec trans and custom bellhousing, I am mocking up outside the car to make sure everything works right. First thing I discovered was I had the wrong TO bearing.

Got everything put in, filled up, tightened up and then double checked everything. Fired it up and didn't have any problems. After a while I noticed the oil pressure on the Holley had dropped to 40-45 and mechanical gauge in dash said 55-60. Last time it ran the Holley oil pressure read higher than the mechanical gauge so I don't know what to think. I'll check the filter tomorrow.
BTW, I put about 15 miles on it and it's a beast! Now have to work on the tune.
I didn't get a good video but here's a pic taken right before I started it.

I have been chasing tuning issues such as idle. I had read and Tim told me it would take some time and attention to get the idle right. Ive been messing with it for a week and I would think it was getting better, then it would start idling like crap again.
I did figure out I was screwing up sending to and getting from ecu, which was causing part of the problem. Then today I discovered that the IAC pintle length was supposed to be adjusted before using it. Mine was out of spec which may explain why the IAC was acting wierd.
So after fixing the IAC, I was warming the engine and I discovered a leaking intake gasket. I have had the intake on and off 3 or 4 times since May so I should have at least had another set on hand. Can't get another set until Wed.

I went over everything today and tightened and retorqued everything. Put about 200 miles on it over the past week. Scott (S2H) helped me with the Holley EFI tune and setting up my oil temp and CC vacuum inputs. Oh, and I installed a digital dash last night and Scott helped me with setting it up too.

Well I finally made it to the track yesterday. It was my first time down the track in 11 years so rusty doesn't start to discribe my condition. Back then I had become comfortable running high 10's. Now, with the new engine and weighing almost 200 lbs less I had no idea what it was going to do off the line. Luckily it launched hard and straight and pulled like crazy. The bad thing is, the engine was winding up so fast, out of seven passes I laid on the 7500 rpm rev limiter, several times for almost a second before every shift.
This engine is a damn beast! When I get calmed down and more in sync with the car, it will be a lot quicker and faster.

That is one bad *** motor setup! I dig that you are also running the Holley HP EFI system and have a man pedal system in it
Running 9's with a street car standard synchro stickshift is king!
What is the bore/stroke combo? Are you shifting just shy of 7500rpm?
That is one hell of a first pass after a 10 year+ hiatus from the strip. It should run bottom 9's easily.
What size are the header primary and collector sizes? I assume 3.5" collectors.... They are slip fit collectors?
What brand/model rear tire are you running? That car is hookin'
