Very Nice!

I have the same BMR alt. bracket, and I will eventually run a vac pump, what ATI hub are you running? Looks like it has a gilmer pulley. I will also contact Bob@AEIcnc for the Moroso Pump mounts. Thanks.

Thanks man. I can then run any ATI damper, correct?

Is the car running yet? Again, that's a very well thought combo you're running.
I have somewhat a similar build in progress, MAST LS7 heads and intake.

Yes on the damper. Mine is a #917073.

See post #160. Hoping to update later this week.

Do you have a build thread?

Thanks! I can't thank Tim (Gray86hatch) enough for the work on headers and exhaust and daily tech advice. Headers were coated today at QC Coating. Should have them back next week and other parts should be coming in to get it back together.

QC Coatings bright silver ceramic.

As for the engine, it seems the mains were not line honed and clearances were off.

Well, I'll hold off for now giving the name of the builder. They have already replaced the rings because the builder, who doesn't work for them anymore, had filed the rings to a point instead of square. After what I paid for the shortblock, I expected higher quality for sure!

Here is one of the rings.

Clearance sheet said top rings were gapped at .022". They were actually .025" and this is NA that Wiseco recommends .0045"Xbore which is .0188".

That's totally amateur! I hope that the builder makes things right.

Ok, as you can see at the beginning of the thread, ERL built the dry sleeve shortblock. Aside from the ring end gaps being filed to points and gaps being way loose for a NA engine, all five main bores were out of round beyond tolerance and main bearing clearances were not as listed on the clearance sheet from ERL.

The builder working on it now said it would have run fine for a while but would have been prone to premature failure. He showed me the cross hatch marks in the main bores and said it looked like ERL did do a line hone but, with the dial bore gauge, he showed me that they were out of round. He said the only thing he saw that was done right was the resleeve job.

I also had issues with team z, they sent me their 2 piece design of the motor mounts and at the time when I bought the K member it was their first design. They told me to send it back and they would send out their latest on both products. The motor sat way to far forward and gave me shitty header clearance to the floor pan. Glad to see you got alot of it squared away and hope you work out the engine situation.

Thanks matt99.

I did get the shortblock back today after a real line hone, polish crank main and rod journals (#one main journal had a high side that had to be leveled), tapped and plugged DoD towers, new Wiseco rings (filed square and NA gap) new Clevite coated bearings (chamfered), new Schumann's oil pump.
