thanks kain, ya that was nice of her
the fuel pumps are two 255lph pumps. it was a tight fit but i think it was worth it. if i understood it correctly they can support up to 1200hp.

OK for my first try at headers... that was not fun. i THINK they came out OK. I'm going to have a friend weld them up who has a better welder then me... and can weld better lol i still have the other side to do but after 8 hours to do this side i think I'll wait till next weekend for the other side lol

the header will come off super easy so with a v-band at the collector it will be very easy to just lift the header out of the way for tune ups.
i haven't checked for a socket but I'm guessing yes, it was pretty roomy there.

lol it wasnt frustrating just monatonous. it went so slow but i was really trying to make sure they came out nice to though. although stepping back and looking at them i already see a few things i wish i would have done differently. i'm sure the other side will go a lot quicker.

i know my headers are not made by a pro but i think they will be worth the cost savings. and looking back i didnt need the pipe bender. i used it a little but the bends that came in the kit were more then enough. out of the 8 peices of tubes i've only used 3 and still have 5 left for the other side.

both, i bought a header kit from summit for $106 i think and then i bought a pipe bender for $60 from harbor frieght. for both of those it still cost me way less then a set of headers and tons less then a pair of GOOD turbo headers.

Hey, quit waxing poetic and get back to work. I need to know how much boost a 5.3 can take before catastrophic failure lol. What kind of welder do you use brother? I have a fathers day favor to cash in and I want a damn welder.

"waxing poetic" lolol that welder is a farm all i'll get a part number off it for ya. i know these flux core welders splatter but its very easy to use and a quick once over with a sanding wheel and the splatters falls off. so no complaints here. by the time i clean up the welds and powder coat or paint it will look primo
