Default TSP vs. Pacesetter

I'm sure this has been asked before but I want to know if spending the extra money for the TSP headers is worth it over the Pacesetters, by worth it I mean in performance gain, does anyone know???

I really like the TSP headers, the TSP headers are 1 7/8" compared to Pacesetters 1 3/4.

It is really hard to get clear info, but I would really like to know if there is ANY gain from switching to 1 7/8ths on a bolt-on only car.. from what I have seen they don't hurt, but gains don't seem to be proven..

I agree with you, at least having the bigger headers will allow you to grow into them. They'll really shine on H/C/I cars!

Yes, on a bolt on car 1 7/8 does make more power than the 1 3/4. It's been proven.

Yeah, do a site search, and a Google search, read, read, then read some more, then decide what you want to believe.

Google search this: 1-3/4 vs 1-7/8 headers on a stock internal car

when my car was running it was all stock but a lid 1 7/8 TSP headers and true duals and ran 12.9's at 109 mph. when it was ALL stock it ran 13.90s at 98, or 99 mph. i also had SLP 1 3/4 headers and y but never got to take it to the track. but i swapped to the tsp's and it felt night and day.

Like the link in post #14 shows, the 1 7/8" headers will make better power from about 2000rpm all the way to redline, even on a basically stock 346ci!

I dynoed 358 with the pacesetter lts, lid, and catback. I could be wrong but I dont think I would have gotten more with the tsp headers...
