Default 441 high compression build

Guys, I am looking at building a 441ci short block, 15 to 1 compression build with ported LS7 heads on race fuel only. It will be with an aftermarket intake for a carb. The engine will be built to turn 8000 rpm's with a powerglide and whatever stall is needed. I am putting it in a mud racing truck, ie no street use. Do any of you engine guru's have any idea how much flywheel horsepower I can make going in this direction. I am trying to go in this direction to save some weight. I am building an s10 to put the engine in. Thanks.

Depending on whos doing the heads manifold should make 900 +

I know Erik @ HKE is doing a setup that sounds pretty close to what your wanting to do.

Why would it be waste of power, if a mud racing truck is what I am building. Everybody has there own agenda. I thought it may be the right thing to do to make great power and save some weight. Building an egine for mud racing and saving weight made me think about this route versus adding the weight to run a big block. In mud racing, it is all about keeping weight down with alot of horsepower. Just like drag racing, horsepower to weight ratio is of utmost importance.

Do you think that it is a waste of power just because I am not putting it into a drag car? You build a car, I am building something different. Each to his own agenda. Thanks.
