Best Cam Only but H/C later
Ok, been doing lost of research, and need some advice. I want to go cam only for now and down the road upgrade with heads. My car is as shown in sig but now have s60 4.11 rearend, UMI TA, and poly Motor mounts. It's an M6 also. My goal is over 400rwhp, good low end torque, good low to midrange power, and decent drivability (A/C on decent Idle). We have good tuners here.
Maybe makes more sense to wait and to Heads and cam together? Maybe just best to call a vendor? What would you guys recommend and if vendor who? TIA

400rwhp cam only you will need a big cam or a custom grind..And maybe the drivability will suck if not properly tuned but the 4.11 will help a lot.
By the way you can save with H/C package from sponsors..I would wait if I were you.
Low end torque and 400rwhp cam only wont happen...You need a high end screamer.
A nice combo for could be a 228R style cam..

i am an auto car with a 4000 stall and 3.90s, but im in a similar boat and decided to go with the f13 from futral, its a 230/232 595/585 on a 112. im gonna be running the TF 215 heads later. for me, im not to concerned about the power cam only since ill be doing heads later. It will be a big jump over stock power anyway. Im waiting on mine to come in the mail. good luck.

"El torro" might be another option. 230/230 .612/.592 lsa 111+2
Afaik there's only one member with numbers but he was well over the 400 mark. Search around there's a couple good threads on it. (Latest maybe 5 pages back).
This is the cam I'm going with I think.

I'm over 400rw and my cam will be great with heads when the time comes. It does very good cam only also. I run the Torquer V.3 from texas speed.

my old grind Torquer V1 made 320-330ftlbs at 3000rpm, and it peaked between 4500-5000rpm.
and my peak hp was at 6300rpm....DEFINATLY NOT a high end screamer. rev limiter is 6400 or so.
i second any of the low 23x cams...el torro being one, or the F13/14

going on 6yrs of ownership....i've been in 2 street races, and its never been withing 25miles of a track.
i don't see the need to rev the **** out of the car. i can't afford to break the motor right now.
car is fun and FAST on the street
hmmm....and the more i think about it...i think its set for a little higher than that. maybe its 6500.
either way...its by far NOT a high end screamer...but still makes nice power down low
