Alright here gentleman, me and a few buddies have been arguing about what would be faster on the 1320 and on the street. Obviously me and my "GM" buddies would say the GTO, but then again my "Ford" would say the Cobra would as they say "dominate". I understand going on a GM site is gonna possibly be a biased opinion but oh well.

What would you guys give the win too?

05 GTO or 03 Cobra, stock for stock and the same driver!

GTO's put down around like 330-345 i think and Ive seen alot of cobras put around 380. I think the GTO is a little heavier if not the same weight as the Snakes

generally speaking, I would definitely think the Cobra. Aren't the 05 GTO's similar or just slightly quicker than a stock LS1 fbod?

Well I don't think your average cobra is putting out 380rwhp. I could be wrong but from what I recall, the average is around 360rwhp.

365-385rwhp is "normal". Mine was in the 380's.

I'll take the GTO anyday. They both run low 13's stock. I have never seen a bone stock Cobra in the 12s (DR/ET streets or even 555s are not stock!)... don't care what any of you say. You all live in never land if you think that. And i would love to run my car where these so called 12 second peices of **** are running those times bone stock.

It's the same bullshit as the LS1s. 310 rated '02 z28s puttind down 340's bone stock. Or bone stock formula's or z28 running 12.9s bone stock. It will never happen. Not even with your "freak" 02 z gulli you tard!

Anyway, now that i'm done venting, I think it will be a very very close race and since I'm a GM guy, I would have to put my money on the goat.

For all intents and purposes write off GM as a competitor in the go fast market if you dont have the 50k for a ****** vette. If i didnt have a 99 Camaro i would have a cobra just to run it in GM's face that they ****** suck. Maybe one of these years they will do somethign respectable.
Dont get me wrong GTO's are cool. But they REALLY lack in the HP department for 2005. Every ****** car on the street has 400 adn up HP and here we have a muscle car that is bottom of th barrel.
I totally give up on them if they dont get somehting BIG going soon as the mustang in a year or 2 will have near on 500 HP. Its a damn joke.

GTO 6.0 dynos around 350-360. Cobras dyno in the 360-380. GTO is slight heavier than the Cobra. If the Cobra has a pulley. Kiss the race good bye.

your retarded, stupid, and ignorant. first unit is correct, that is what bone stock 03/04 cobra's generally dyno, and why would he lie about his stock cobra dynoing 380? hmm I guess he's just a moderator because of his tendancy to lie... And my bone stock SS put down 330rwhp/345rwtq...so what do you have to say about that? And yes there are bone stock fbodies in the 12's, as well as their are bone stock 03/04 cobra's in the 12's. Slow the hell down there killer. Everyone here is a gm fanatic. Hell I hate all ford products with a passion. But you can't ignore the facts. The were alot of bone stock freaks that I have seen that would run high 12's usually 98-99 z28. And I have seen 03 cobra's run in the 12's stock. From my experience a stock f-body verse a stock GTO the f-body will win, now a stock f-body and a stock cobra (granted both drivers are evenly matched) the cobra (as much as I hate to say it) will beat the f-body. I would go hands down that the cobra will walk the gto.

However there are facts that play a roll that can help the gto capture the victory, The cobra driver hits the gas to hard and spins in the hole, mis shift, driver error's for the cobra, is the only way that i believe will help the gto capture the victory.

You obviously know very little about Ford's raiting policies and even less about how cars actually perform. Stock terminators DO dyno 360-380, and any half decent driver on STOCK tires can cut a 12 second et. That is just the bottom line.

Seperate note, I am a diehard GM fan, and love my fbody. I will never get rid of it, and love the ls1 engine. But I am also not ignorant, a nice car is a nice car, and ford did the 03/04 cobras right.

Oh yea, almost forgot, the Cobra would take a 6.0 GTO. A cobra usually traps around 111 mph, maybe more, where as a GTO traps around 108. They both weigh about the same and are geared about the same, but the Cobra puts out more power.
