I have a Comp Cam 224/228 .581/.581 114 +4 installed on heads that are milled for a C/R of 11:1 (.40 I think???) I am having no problems. I am running 7.350 pushrods. FYI, pushrod length does not affect lift. Who did the work on the heads? They will/should know.

Gosh I hope you guys aren't taking .30-.40 off your heads. They are scrap if you do! Maybe .030 or .040

.30 is 300 thousandths, that's almost a third of an inch! I think you mean 0.030 inch.
