LS Swap Meet: 1986 Chevy C10 Gets A 5.3 Upgrade

YouTube user AGearHead4Life aka Mark Burch posted a step-by-step video of his LS swap on his 1986 Chevy C10 truck. After finding it in a field, Burch breathed new life into the pickup by putting in a 4×4 1500 5.3 engine from a 2001 donor truck. While completing the swap, the first manifold Burch tried to install didn’t fit, but he found one from a 2010 Camaro that worked perfectly.

Unfortunately, locating a new manifold wasn’t the only bump in the road. According to his comments on the video, the truck was stolen in late February. Maybe the sincerest form of flattery is fixing up a truck so well that someone else would want to steal it? Ugh, people.

Here’s to hoping that Burch gets his truck back, but in the meantime, let’s honor its memory by enjoying this awesome video.
