Rebuilding Your Saginaw Steering Box

If you have a classic Chevy, a S10, or anything that uses a Saginaw steering box; you know that it will eventually need to be replaced. However, what if you were able to rebuild it instead. That’s exactly the case and we’ve found some step-by-step videos by Hutch Hi Performance on YouTube to help you rebuild your Saginaw instead of having to replace it. You could save some money, too.

First, if you don’t feel comfortable rebuilding your steering box, don’t. This is an important part of your vehicle, be it truck, car, or otherwise. It is possible to do it wrong and have a catastrophic failure while driving. However, if you do it while taking your time and following these videos, you shouldn’t have any issues. What’s better is that you’ll be saving some money by not having to replace your steering box and worry about core charges. If you’re upgrading, which we’ll cover in another article, you don’t have to worry about core charges, either!
