Turbo Buggy Wheelies on the Dyno
Sand rails are some of the most fun you can have on two wheels. And no you didn’t read that wrong, and no I didn’t write it wrong either. If you’ve ever been around a sand rail, or any type of sand sligging buggy, you’ll know their propensity to pop up onto two wheels and stay there for as long as you’re brave enough to keep your foot into it.
It’s some of the most fun you’ll ever have. However, to get to that point, these buggies need to be tuned, and that involves a dyno. Although we’re not so sure that this is the right way to use said dyno.
As you’ll see in the video below, the buggy’s rear end has been strapped down to the dyno, and that’s it. The front was left unstrapped and as mentioned above, these buggies have a need to lift their noses high into the air. This is exactly what happens here.
The buggy’s turbo spools up, and then makes all the horsepower. Check it out.
