Throughout the history of the hot-rod, muscle car culture, the main staple throughout the 50 some odd years of being around, the small block Chevy has become the workhorse of every builder.
It’s in Fords, Chevys, and every other hot rod, muscle car in between. And that’s largely due to the ease at which it is to not only make big horsepower and fit in tight spaces, but also because of the general ease at which you can work on this motor.
The small block Chevy is what everyone really cut his or her teeth on, and to showcase the absolute awesomeness of the small block Chevy engine, Hagerty made this short little video to prove just how easy it is to go from, “Oh my god, that’ll never run again,” to “alright it’s ready to be washed and rebuilt.”
