Mom’s reaction to her LS swapped Pontiac Solstice is truly priceless, as her worry quickly turns into excitement.

Roughly a year ago, YouTuber Adam Lizotte-Ziesler, or Adam LZ as he’s better known, secretly installed a turbo on his mom’s Pontiac Solstice and recorded the whole thing. That video turned out to be his most-viewed ever, even though his mom’s reaction wasn’t exactly memorable. Thus, he figured he’d try something a bit more extreme to see if he could elicit a better reaction – as in, LS swap that same Pontiac Solstice.

Thus, Lizotte-Ziesler offered to bring her car into his shop and take a look at it to make sure everything was working fine. Obviously, she got a little suspicious that this inspection and oil change took some time, but since the shop was busy, that was a passable excuse. Finally (and appropriately), the job was finished and Lizzote-Ziesler brought his mom out on Christmas Day to give her freshly modified drop-top back to her.

Right off the bat, mom noticed that her ride had some new wheels and bigger tires, along with dual exhaust. But it’s when she starts it up that she realizes what, exactly, has happened. The look on her face at that point is simply priceless, as is her first thought. “My neighbors are going to kill me,” she says. “Are you nuts? Everybody’s going to hear me coming?”

At this point, mom just thinks that the exhaust has made her car louder and given it more power. She still doesn’t realize what’s really going on under the hood. That is, until she gives it a little gas, at which point the proverbial light bulb goes off. “Did you put another motor in my freaking car?” mom asks. “You didn’t notice this doesn’t sound anything like your car?” Lizotte-Ziesler asks back. “You basically have a Corvette now.”

Things get even more hilarious once the reality of the situation sets in. “Why’d you put a V8 in my poor little car?” mom asks. “I’m gonna kill myself in this thing.” Her biggest concern is the fact that the car is bucking, but her son promises to fix that little issue with some more tuning. And by the end of the video, she even seems a little excited about her fresh swap. “But that damn Corvette that raced me that day and I beat him…I can’t wait till I find him again,” mom says.
