Those calculators are not perfect. Real world experience is what you need. I am in the middle of selecting a new gear and am a bit weary of those calcs.

And on a side note...I need a 2-step.

And don't go by the manufactures specs on the tires, measure them yourself.

What kind of RWHP and RWTQ you making on the bottle? I have the same setup except I have full susp, 3250 raceweight, 9" with 4.30s,and some 28X10.5 ET Drags no Fast 90/90 yet though . I have not got a chance to run mine as I broke the 10bolt in oct and being I am in Minnesota we have winter, so the 9" was my winter project!! so I am sooo excited to run mine just want to see what I should be around. By the way I am 550rwhp and 550 rwtq

its a 26in tall tire but its an ET Drag which grows going down the track to prolly a 27-27.5 tall tire which brings the rpm down. I ran outta gear with 3.90s and my A4 with 3800 stall on 26in ET Drag radials at 120. but on 26in ET Drags I cross about 6200ish and trapped 125 untuned with alot left. Awesome times man, I went 10.88@125 with a 1.49 60ft untuned. Your definately rowin the gears.
