Default Can I get 11 second tag with an 1/8th mile pass?

So I know the conversion shows I should be an 11.6 car, I live 2 miles from Irwindale speedway and it is only an 1/8 mile track, best et so far is 7.49 at 92 mph.

Mods 228r cam, 241's milled .042, fast 36lb injectors, ebay stainless steel headers, tsp ory, tsp rumble with magnaflow muffler, upgraded timing chain (im too lazy to get up and look in my box of parts as to which one but it is from tsp) ls6 ported and shimmed oil pump, still on the ls1 intake. Ohh I have a cutom 3k stall built trans and 3:42 gears.

My question is even though I don't have a full 1/4 mile pass, can I still apply for the 11 second club?

What if your car lays down up top and doesn't make it? That wouldn't be fair would it?

Very true I have yet to run it at a track but I know p top it does not lay down, got a mach 1 with race suspension on a 125 shot to prove that. Had it by easily 1.5 cars and thats letting off about 100-200 feet from the finish.

I know what you are saying but this thing will pull hard through the end, just curious if not that is fine with me, but there are not that many 1/4 mile tracks that are good around southern cali.

That 1/8 mile is def 11 sec pass. When my car was just bolt ons, best et 1/8 mile was 7.50@90.3mph and went 11.82. Now it goes 7.1s and runs 11.3

Hmm I need like 3:73s in this car, or the stock suspension is really at it's limit lol.

What are you 60fts? Have you thought about maybe going with a bigger stall? I am still running stock lca's, shocks, rear sway bar, and torque arm. My only suspension mods are qa1 coilovers w/ 300lb springs, boxed sfc and tubular non adj panhard bar.

No offense, but IMO an 11-second pass is an 11-second pass on a 1/4mi track, not converted 1/8mi times to get to an 11-second pass. Bring it to Fontana and get your slip.

Just take it to Fontana 1/4 mile Adam. It shouldnt be hard to get you an 11 sec slip. Though imo, I wouldnt be expecting an 11.6 there. Maybe more like an 11.8.

I might as well base it off a street pass then, Fontana is a crap track i will wait and go to famoso.

If I run at fontana it will be like a 12.0 run, the DA there is like monkey's nuts. Ohh well we will have to test it out and see.

Fontana isnt all that bad. You usually are a few tenths off of what you could be at Famoso no more than that though. You should still be able to get a solid pass there. When I ran my 11.2 pass at Fontana the DA was around 900.
