ok guys i am looking to see what my car will run with the following mods.
slp air lid, maf, and smoothe bellow w/ k&n filter. port and polished stock t.b./
ls6 intake / under pully by march / 160 degree thermostate/ 3500 tci converter w/ tranny cooler/ kooks headers 1 3/4 with high flow cats and y-pipe/ corsa 3inch cat back pro series s.s./ ls1 edit by dez racing w/ dyno tune. i am going to run on stock tires at first. so what would the numbers be on stock rubbers. and what tires would you all recomemend for my car. thank you for your time guys. oh by the way i would think i would be mid 12s but not sure

I see these posts all the time with people wanting what time their cars will run. I also see everyone always says that they should run in the 12's. It seems that your tires, the track and your driving will determine your time more than your mods. I'm gonna guess and say you will run between a 12.8-13.5. I should be right lol!

Post back what times you ran...

If he runs a 12.8 with those mods he should sell the car ASAP and buy a Hon-duh.

Street tires are very bad with that stall. 12.8 to 13.2 with street tires. Nottios drag tires. 12.2 to 12.5

Ditch the SLP MAF and go back to stock. You might not see 12's if you don't get a good launch, which will be tough on street tires. If you put a real tire on there, pull some weight and the front sway bar out and stick you could be middle 12's. Maybe low 12's, but probalby mid.

Do a search. Most people have nothing but bad results with aftermarket mafs. If you read a little on it you'll see what I mean, and maybe even why that is.

I can tell you that with mods in my sig on everyday street tires(not DR's) I ran multiple 12.8's with a stick. DA was 1700ft, 60ft times were anywhere from 1.97's to 2.05. Had no weight reductions besides removal of swaybar which must be hollow cause it can't weigh more than 10-15lbs. The car has a Moser in it which weighs a ton compared to the stocker. The Spohn T/A weighs easily twice as much as the stocker and the Boxed LCA's are the same deal. My car easily weighs much more than stock curb weight and is still on the stock tune. With that said, I say with an auto and 2.0 or better 60ft that car should easily do mid 12's as long as the DA isn't like Denver.

EDIT: I should also mention. This was on stock WS6 wheels and 93 pump gas. Both belts on the car. The HPP is only used to turn fans on sooner and set speedo.

i got a buddy who ran a 12.7 with a 3200 edge convertor, a set of bfg drag radials and the rest bone stock in his 01 ss. with drag radials, good track conditions, and good driving i say 12.3-12.5. don't waste your time with just street tires you'll be disappointed. i hope your ready to be looking into a rear. the 10 bolt is a pyle of crap. good luck
