Between all these threads I should be able to get my project done pretty fast! Good read!

Good build but it looks like to me you got away from the original target of budget built 10 second light weight car and got more into interior and visual mods. I would have loved to see what it ran at about 2800 lbs with bolt ons and a 150 shot.

Didn't read the whole thread but I agree with bigfatls6. I'm digging your ride, but you strayed from the initial goals. Your already $7k in and still need a nitrous setup, rear end, trans, cam, RR, etc. If your budget is around $15k, then I think your on par.

youre right..u didnt read his entire thread. he stated he was doing this reversed and going to do the powerplant/drivetrain last... i dont think he strayed at all from his goals. i just read 16 pages of this write up and hes doing a fantastic job. keep up the good work Mike. i literally sat here for the last hour and read this entire thread. good job, this is one of my favorite threads on here. its 2 degrees here in chicago so i know your not going to be updating this for awhile but please do when you get a chance. other than the windshield everything seems like it has fallen into place. good luck....

I agree with you on that to a certain extent, I did do a couple cosmetic mods due to deals falling into place (LS1 complete dash $60-Couldnt pass that up) I am working on the chassis right now, SFCs are installed, roll cage is in the garage waiting on install, and I picked up some lowering springs for the front to match the rear. Still want to do the LCA's, panhard bar, etc. Hope to have this all done by spring is my goal. Then I will work on the trans/rear end.

Yeah, its in the garage right now, planning on doing the lowering springs in the front in the next day or so.

I also need to paint the LS1 center console I got black to match the dash, the console I have is a dark grey and doesnt match.

Oh and still need to finish up the trunk mounted battery that I started last year, just got the switch mounted and got sidetracked...

Since I am sidetracked from the build due to the cold, I met up the other day with robsquikz28 and traded my SS spoiler for the 5 inch "Dick Harrell" spoiler. Kinda a risky decision, but I figured it would fit better with the Z/28 theme (cowl hood/high rise spoiler) I do need to prep the pieces and paint them, but figured I'd mark out where the pieces need to go and test fit them first.

Front view looking back...

Rear view...Can also see where I need to paint a spot and blend it in where the Camaro moved on a trailer and kissed the ramp...No biggie though...

A side view pic will show it off better.

I love the lip spoilers, and want to get the 3" one. The 5 is a bit much for my taste but still looks pretty good on a dropped car with a cowl hood.

Thanks for the comments about the spoiler. I was 50/50 on getting it. At first I didnt like it, but it grew on me, then I saw one in person and fell in love, really sets the car apart from the rest of them. I will get some more pictures after my buddy paints it and I touch up the bumper and detail the car, sitting all winter has it looking kinda rough.

Nice ride 1badzee! Like the Berger panel!

Doing the spoiler in tribute to this car...Dick Harrell Camaro...I wish this was being delivered to me...

The one pictured above is a Berger Camaro...not a Dick Harrel.
