ha ha.

Yea i was thinking about trying to figure out how to relocate the reservoir, but right now i just need to get it done, ill have to go back and finish the other projects later.

I really don't think it will be that bad w/o PS. My buddies 82 Stang don't have PS and he's a tiny guy. He drives that thing like a pro when it comes to steering. I've thought about deleting mine and putting a manual rack in it, but like you said, $700.

You don't really "need" a manual rack. My car has had the power steering removed for years, I just looped the lines on the stock rack and called it a day. Been no big deal both with 17's and skinnies.

Don't get me started on the AC system ....So i cut it all out and we're going to see how bad it can really be without all the power assisted controls.
I hear ya. I want to remove the ABS, A/C, and relocate those fuse blocks and battery when I pull my engine. As far as the power steering pump, you could have gotten a turn one pulley and it makes the whole setup look a bit better. Unless you start deleting everything like a "race car" you'll never achieve a fully clean engine bay. Don't get me wrong. I love the look of race car engine bays, but I want to maintain some creature comforts.

Shame that your car blew up though the tyres look great and the car in the last picture looks good as well.

I had a local dealership round up a non-TCS throttle cable and it came in today. I managed to pick up the *discontinued* non-TCS cruise control cable from ebay today as well for $20+shipping , so my ASR delete is now complete.

I need to order $185 worth of Earl's fittings and hose for my remote oil filter setup still, that'll be next i would imagine. i'm probably going with the black nylon-wrapped Pro-Lite 350 hose and Ano-Tuff black anodized fittings. I can't believe how expensive this **** is....6 feet of hose and 6 fittings.

Tony Mamo tells me my intake will possibly ship this week, so that's going to be badass if that happens.

I've decided to go ahead and get BMR's alternator mount with the manual tensioner, so that pretty silver-powdercoated alternator bracket will be gone so i can just run one little belt from the damper to my alternator and lose all the other pullies and tensioners and whatnot.

I did that when I removed my TCS. I like the single cable a lot more- cleaner

Man, you really are going for a clean engine bay. It's gonna look badass. I don't think I can live without power steering or A/C right now. It's my primary car after my company truck. When it becomes a "toy", I will delete A/C and ABS for sure.

Yeah i decided to go all hardcore on it The sad part is, the final stage of this build involves looking for something else to drive But i've needed a new truck for a while anyway so it kind of works out. Living in southwest Missouri without 4 wheel drive is kind of stupid, so i need to invest in a nice little RCSB Z71 or maybe a Cummins truck, only problem there is that involves getting a Dodge

My intake is in the mail! Now i gotta decided what color to paint it Any ideas? Sunset orange engine bay, Chevy-orange block, and if GMPP ever release them i'll have Chevy-orange valve covers instead of the cast ones i have now. Can't paint the intake SOM or Chevy-orange, it'll be too much of one or the other...any ideas? i don't really wanna do black either...

I also ordered the BMR alternator bracket from Exotic Performance Plus today. Then i went to Summit for some -10 AN hose and fittings, all Earl's Ano-Tuff black fittings and Pro-Lite 350 hose, for my remote mount oil filter.

To anybody thinking that Moroso oil pan is badass: It's about a $1000 ordeal to get it up and going ...$696.85 for the pan and remote filter mount from Summit, plus ~$200 worth of fittings/hose to make the remote mount work....thank God the pan came with a windage tray and pickup...

I would probably go with like a satin black so it won't stand out to much. I HATE the gloss black intakes. SOM letters would look cool as well. I saw a SOM car with a few yellow accents that actually looked pretty good, but thats hit or miss. As far as the valve covers go, why not just paint them Chevy orange instead of waiting on GMPP?

I'm not necessarily "waiting" on the GMPP covers, i've got valve covers, but i'm pretty dead set of changing them to these:

As for the intake...like i said i'm not really wanting to go with black, i had the black TT2's on the car for a while (see sig pic) and i really wasn't liking the black on SOM theme at all. I was planning on shaving the "92mm" and shaving the box around the "FAST" logo as well as the "Fuel Air Spark Technology" lettering, leaving on the "FAST." If you click the dyno numbers in my sig, you can see my old FAST was SOM with silver lettering. I'll do the "FAST" letters the same way on this manifold, but i'm not set on a color combo yet. I've been thinking about several neutral or earth-tone colors like silver, dark pewter, or a gun metal color...black isn't ruled out, i just don't really want to go that route.

...and there will be no yellow anywhere on my car

Oh, i thought you meant GMPP valve covers like the ones you have but in orange. Those LSX ones look sick....

Well i went ahead and ordered a set of weld-in UMI LCA relocation brackets for my 9" today. My non-ASR cruise cable showed up today. Tomorrow, i should have my AN fittings for the remote oil filter and since i don't have to work tomorrow, i'll be able to install all of it

The intake color dilema still remains....Smoothed down and painted gloss black with Chevy-orange lettering would look good, but not really the route i want to take....

I like the idea of running a neutral color... like a silver or something...

If i wasnt running a stock intake, mine would be silver, or sheetmetal lol
