Default Thespoilercompany fitment problems

Well guys, I guess I'll be the first one....

My SS spoiler from thespoilercompany fits terribly. I think however it's just one of those deals on this one spoiler because the others I've seen installed look awesome. I also contacted them and it looks like they are going to be replacing it with a new one... though that hasn't been set in stone yet. We're kind of going back and forth at the moment... Hopefully they replace it because this one isn't even close to fitting...

Here's some pictures...

This side fits pretty well.

This side not so much...

Now with these pictures the spoiler was fully seated forward as can be seen in the following pictures... and it STILL hung over a good 3/4" in the rear...

I don't know guys, I think it was just a fluke this one time for the spoiler to fit this badly. Anyways, I hope they resolve the issue in a satisfactory manner...

I too bought one last week and having it painted. I'll be pretty mad is it fits that bad. I understand that these are aftermarket and they won't fit like OEM but that is pretty ****** awful considering the great reviews this company has had.

I hope they make good for you and for the sake of keeping a good reputation.

there are OEM ss spoilers all over ebay from camaros wrecked in the front end. why not just buy oem? would you rather pay less and have to do hours upon hours of work just to get it fit right or buy an oem one, paint it and throw it on?

Well that's just it, they usually don't fit like this from what I understand. Actually mine is the FIRST I've seen that didn't fit like a glove. And in that case I would much rather buy from them than OEM...

Anyways, I hope they make it right too. I'll be pretty livid if they do not...

I did the same thing, definitely if anyone gets theirs painted ask them not to put the foam on.

I got mine from them and it fits fine. I'd say it's just a fluke. They should fix the problem without many headaches. They do have an awesome reputation.

I sure hope so. I'm awaiting to hear back from them. The next one I am just going to have painted to match the car. I was quoted about $200 to get it sprayed and they'll do it for $50. From what I can see the paint work they do turns out just fine...

The paint looks good, but the prep work could be alittle better. For $50 though I can't complain.

People are selling them for ridiculous prices. I just bolted mine right up, no work for me.

OP, looks like you got a bad one...

If you bolted it down it should pull that fiberglass down. Mine stuck up a touch, but once I bolted it down it fit like a glove.

I don't remember mine sticking out that much in the back though, it did stick out a little; but if it didn't it wouldn't fit the "curve" right and would look wierd.

Hey after looking I figured I'd throw some pics of mine up. I don't have a good pic from the side like you do, but from the top you can kind of see the line. Hope this helps.

Damn if mine would have fit like that I would have been thrilled...

I tightened it down but because it was so "tweaked" in the first place everything get's more and more out of alignment the tighter I go with it, if that makes any sense.

By the way, just an update, They are suppose to be picking this one up tomorrow and getting me another one ready and shipped out next week. Hopefully it all ends up cool.

Gotcha, mine was slightly raised on that same side; but only maybe like 1/4" tops.

Good news they are going to take care of you.

Just to update this thread, thespoilercompany is picking up the old spoiler today at their expense and shipping me out a new/painted spoiler next week.

So it looks like they took care of everything for me! Just wanted to update and let everyone know. I'll post pics of the new one when I get it on the car here next week.
