Hello all! I just installed the new non-popup headlight kit on my Trans Am over the weekend. Tell me what you think! Just click on the link in my sig. You can then click on the correct album from there.

Those are looking really good! I've got a question for you, though. After installing/seeing them in person, do you think it would be possible to put a light tint on them? Did you order yours through RK Sport? TIA for the info! I can't wait to get rid of the crappy motors in those headlights.

00blkws6, I don't see any reason why you couldn't tint them lightly if you wanted to. Although visability at night would be reduced enough for me to have some concern about safety but I guess it wouldn't be much different than headlight covers on the Camaros. I ordered mine from another website because RK Sport's was on back order when I went to their website which was three to four weeks ago, I don't know about availability now.

I like it for the fact that you don't have to worry about these damn headlight motors anymore. It looks good too, haha. I think it would look even better on a silver car.

I love the non-pop up look but what i HATE about that kit is the regular looking out of a box bulbs. I would pay BIG $$$ if they could intergrate the camaro look(molded silver beam defelctors to fit the entire area). One square and circle just looks fugly to me.
I wanted that kit sooo bad till i found out it was using regular aftermarket lights.
Props on the install though!

Nice quality work yet...I don't really see the point in it, I think its awesome how u T/A's have the pop up lights, however, I don't know if the motor is a pain, but very unique job, nice work. It is good to see people do different things even if I or someone else does not like it.

Honestly, they need to be thrown away, I have always hated those. Such a crappy design job with the different shaped lights. Destroys the front end. If it was a smoked cover, it would be ten times better, get some window tinit and see what you could do??

I really think they look good. I've never been
a fan of the pop-up headlights.
As was said previously, smoked cover would make
them kick ***.

I like those alot. But I am not very fond of the rectangular lights. But if I had the extra cash to spend on the kit I'de definately get it!

Biggie, I like them from the front. from the side they look too angled. But the pic with the lights turned on was saweet. Hey Jsears, I really liked your picture though. Is that your TA ? Where did you get those camaro lights installed ?

I like the non-pop up look! Was it hard to install? do you need any special tools or knowledge?
Nice!

The hardest part was taking out the OEM fixtures. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine. Don't over-tighten the screws in the clear cover or they will crack it! Just a little more than snug should be enough.

If any of you guys need the kits quick call up Breatless Performance. They make them and are a great company to deal with.
I have been thinking of tinting the covers on mine now for a few days. Ill post pics if I do it. I too hate the rectangular bulbs so I wired mine with the cicular light as my low beam....people hate it when im behind them....lol.
heres a pic of mine before i got around to finishing the install...the last bolts arent installed along with the covers...now everythings flush and the square bulbs have red strobes in them...

Ws6cott, I kind of like it w/o the covers, just as it is in the pic. I checked out your website, it was very cool, you've got a lot of money in that car!!! I wish I could get some kind of sponsors to help me out!
Also, on your site you said you rubbed off the bird between the tailights, how did you do that? That is what I wanted to do but I was going to actually buy a new one w/o the logo...

I used a light rubbing compound from the turtle wax line. I spent about an hour or so rubing in small circles until the design wrubbed off. Then i went over it with some plastic polish. its real easyto do but time consuming as hell....lol
Thanks for the compliments on the car. The lights needed the covers. You cant tell in the pic but there is a small gap on each side of the buckets.
good luck with getting the bird off the back of your ride

Thanks for the info! By chance did it leave any swirls or scratches? I'm getting there w/my car, I've only had it for about a month, but as you well know it takes time to get it where you want it even after that it's never ending! -Thanks again!
