Default My "Garage Floor" Mod! Pic of my SS Stable.

Hey doesn't everybody need a cool garage floor for the better showing off of our fine cars????

Well, I couldn't stand the look of my two SS's sitting on an ugly oil stained (from previous owner) dirty, plain concrete floor.

I broke down and bought some lock together plastic tiles called 'Race Deck' made by Snap Lock. I installed black and alloy squares in a checker board pattern. Here is a finished pic. This was taken at night and it is cold outside.

The floor is available at: Race Deck Web Page It is a little pricey at nearly $4.00 a square foot, my garage ran me just over $1,300 shipped. But the cool thing is the floor is portable so you can bring it along to car shows and take it with when you move to a bigger garage.

There are two types of floor tiles, the diamond plate and a flow through style. Thinking about it, maybe the flow through would be better. It is very easy to clean, simple mopping works.

My neighbors are very curious everytime they walk by! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Andy, that is super <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> , I like the choice of going with the alloy tiles. You say there plastic, how thick are they and how do you cut them?

Looks great Andy but, got a question. How well do jacks and jack stands work on it? Will they damage the tiles?

I just want a garage, my garage will be built in the spring. 2350 square feet with lift. I can't afford to buy that many tiles. maybe just 2 or 3 car spots for tile. OH do they sell edgeing.
