I did'nt have any luck with the resistor in getting my light to go off. I took the guage cluster out and put a peice of black foam in the airbag light hole.

I have an adobe file from MOMO that's in Italian, but it has pics that shows where the resistor goes. PM me you e-mail address and I will send you a copy.
I also have an extra resistor set-up from Crowders Customizing if anybody is interested.

I found mine on the auction site. Just do a search for a steering wheel adapter and whatever model car you need it for.

Are the 5 bolt patterns universal on these wheels? Like if I use a Momo adapter and Sparco wheel? Cant seem to find a non quick release Sparco. All of Sparcos seem to be weld on application.

Also what is this clock spring people keep talking about?

Also is the Momo adapter hub to thick? Keep hearing people saying take 1/4 inch out of it?

How does the adapter place the wheel in comparison to the stock boat anchor?

Also does the adapter index onto the column so you get the wheel on straight?

Most Sparco's and MOMO's use 6 screw adapters and I "think" they use the same pattern.

The clock spring is to used make a positive electrical connection to the airbag and still be able to turn the wheel back and forth.

I have heard of people grinding on the MOMO adapters on the 4th gen.

The adapter goes on the same spline your old wheel came off. Make sure your old wheel is straight when you take it off and put the new wheel on the same way.

Well mine is a 2002. So I am wondering where the material comes off.

Does it put the wheel close to where the factory one was?

Ok, so after reading this thread I went out and bought a momo steering wheel and the hub adapter. I followed all of the instructions given at the very beginning of this thread and now I have a BIG problem! I installed the MOMO adapter and tightened it down with the main steering wheel nut. I then bolted up the steering wheel and when I turned the wheel side to side, as in turning the wheel right to left, I heard A AWFUL CRUNCHING AND BREAKING OF PLASTIC INSIDE THE COLUMN! There is obviously some serious fitament issues with the MOMO adapter hub and my 2002 factory column! This adapter MUST BE MODIFIED! I just don't know where I'm suppose to be grinding material off on this momo adapter? THE BIGGEST ISSUE I HAVE NOW, I can't get the damn MOMO adapter back off to modify it!!! PLEASE HELP ME! I need suggestions on what to use to get this adapted off so I CAN modify it. I have tried the regular steering wheel puller and today I tried a 3 armed or 3 jaw puller with no success either! I have no clue what to do now!

That sucks man!

I have the momo adapter on the way aswell and guess I will try and figure out where people are grinding.

Also does the wheel still turn off the turn signals when it comes back to neutral?

Here's some grinding suggestions. https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...tall-help.html

BYBYCOP, the only thing I can think of is using this: http://www.fixtureuniverse.com/autom...inkLoc=related
line it up with the screws that hold the steering wheel to the adapter get some longer screws and a lot of washers and hope for the best!

Think I will get the sparco adapter instead then. Maybe I can avoid the grinding with that one.

Also you pull the negative battery wire? Not the positive?

Are you guys removing the clock spring? Will the horn wires be ok without it?

Default Momo Adaptor Hub

I have installed two of these. One on a 95 the second on an 02 camaro. Both hubs required 3/8 to 1/2 inch removal of material from the rear surface. I took them to a metal fabricator to do this. If you don't you'll never be able to properly tighten the hub assembly to the steering column. If you do start torking on the shaft nut the Momo hub will damage the plastic column. While the original poster's wheel does look really nice, from the pictures I looked at, the hub actually appears to be touching the column. You don't want any contact between the hub and the column.

I finally got it on right (The wheel didnt line up perfect but I was willing to live with that). I went ahead an torqued it down and now the adapter is scraping the plastic on the column. DON'T BUY THIS SPARCO ADAPTER! Now I get to figure out how to take it off!!!

I just finished installing my Momo Gotham steering wheel. My god is it sexy. I used the Momo 2401 adapter.

Just like everyone else I had problems with the adapter touching the plastic steering column. I went to Target and got some 80 grit sand paper and sanded the plastic column until it cleared the back of the adapter.

I used a 2.2ohm resistor for the airbag and it worked! Guys, they sell 2.2 AND 2.2k resistors. THEY ARE DIFFERENT. Use the 2.2ohm and it should work.

This particular wheel is concaved in nature and the adapter is pretty long so together it brings the steering wheel closer to you then stock. Since I do lean back while driving it works out for me.

Pictures! (The steering is locked which is why its not straight)

You can see where I sanded the column:
