mustang hood scoop idea
i had an idea for a hood scoop. borrowing from a crustang. i wonder how this would look on a stock z hood. i dont have photoshop on this computer so i cant chop it right now.
im going to put new stripes on my z soon and i think i could get the stripes around this type of scoop easier. would look similar to an ss hood. but it is a bolt on.

Mmm...I dunno man.
Between mopars 6 pack, and this one basicly being part of ford heritage, I think you'd have a difficult time making it work.
Good luck though...way to think outside the box

I think it looks terrible on the mustang, will look worse on a camaro. It looks like a tacked on afterthought. The beauty of an SS hood is it's all one piece hood - looks like it belongs.

ive gotta say, i have yet to see a tampax shaker setup, or a fastback maxi pad.
that aside, i think the ultra z is basically this idea, front facing scoop, blended in, placed where our intakes are 'supposed' to go, bam.
you could say youre pushing the hole back further in an ultra z hood and the fordophobes would probably lay off

ok im no photoshop expert but here is basically my idea. the stripes in the pics will be replaced with slightly wider ones. might add the decal on the side of the scoop. i like it so far.

No Mustang hate here, I drive my parents 07 GT C/S on a daily basis. But I still don't think that looks good, it doesn't flow with the rest of the car at all. Not one line matches and the shape doesn't match anything. It looks really tacked on.

Former Mustang owner here several as a matter of fact so theres no hate from me.
It just looks as said above tacked on and tacky.
the amount of time to make it look right and cost for materials and paint etc is probably going to be close to the purchase of a hood that looks loads better.
IMO
good luck with it tho if you decide to follow through.

if u do it i think u should keep the rest of the hood behind the scoop at the same height and do kind of a cowl style with the hood scoop. also if u really want to do it **** what people on here say. its your car and people here are very closed minded
