After washing, flood the surface to remove as much water as possible. Spray some quik wax on the panels with the remaining water. Use two towels. One to apply and one to buff off. You will add protection after every wash.
If you want something more durable than that then a coating is the way to go. As you saw in my thread, I used Ameriarmour from Americana Car Care. It's user friendly. Application is like cquartz. Durability for Ameriarmour is 2 years. From what I have read, Gloss Coat is one of the easiest coatings to apply.
Americana Car Care is making some business changes so their site is being redone from the ground up as they are introducing some new products.

I heard good things about wolfgang paint sealant and blackfire paint sealant.
To get something more durable a coating is the way to go.
With the porter cable I like to use a 5" backing plate and 5-5.5" pads. I am currently using the new thin 5" Meguiar's foam pads. I have tested them on a PC and they work great. Lake Country Hydro Tech pads are also good. Thinner pads is the way to go.

The first time I did a test spot on my car, this was back when I had M105, it didn't do much. I was using a Lake Country Orange flat pad. I then purchased the Meguiar's microfiber cutting pads and the D300 compound and that worked flawlessly.
The paint on my 02 is hard. Same with my dad's 02. I used microfiber right from the get go. I finished with M205 on a white lake country polishing pad at that time.
This last time on my car all I had to use was M205 and the new thin Meguiar's yellow polishing pad. The thinner pad will translate the tools power better. Smaller pads will rotate better. Perfect combination for the porter cable.

Mothers Leather Wash and Leather Cream
Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Sealer Treatment. This comes in a kit. This one will last a little longer than the Mothers and Blackfire
If you want to spend a little more money then I would recommend Blackfire Leather Conditioner.
I would also recommend the leather to be cleaned every so often (~couple times a year) and Meguiar's Gold Class Leather & Vinyl cleaner works well.

What about leatherique? I am looking at meguiars off the shelf stuff also for convenience.
I also have not got the chance to use it as its winter now. But if you can get the garage hot enough even with some heat lamps, stuff should work great. Leatherique highly recommends using it in a hot environment and letting it sit for hours.

For vinyl/coated leather/newer interiors etc. I clean with either 441 or diluted APC. then put 303 ontop.
Just wondering wheres the best and what type of pads to get for them? Thanks
