Ask a Professional Detailer
I have used 3M adhesive remover for tar and it works wonders. They actually advertise it in the Griot's catalog for this purpose. You can pick it up at the local parts store in the paint section. You spray it on and you will see the tar start running almost instanly and you just wipe it away. I am sure it removes the wax but you can do a quick touch up after.

Just purchased and used the Stoner Invisable Glass yesterday. Best glass cleaner I've ever used by far.
Go Fast- My car is currently in the garage, getting ready to get put away for winter. I just bought the Porter Cable 7424XP per your recommondations. The car was washed with Meguiars gold class and dried by hand over the past weekend. I'm wanting to remove my swirls (all over my car) and get a good coat of wax on it before it goes under a car cover for the fall/winter. What product lineup would you suggest? I really like Meguiars products and would prefer to give them my business if possible. 1st, should I clay bar the entire car before treating with 105/205 (assuming that'd be a good remedy for the swirl removal)? What cutting/polishing pads should I use with said products? Do you have any better ideas?

First, I'd pick up a good amount of Cobra microfibers (@ Autogeek). M105/205 is a great combo. As long as you cut the heavy stuff with 105, 205 will clean up nicely. Get some Lake Country orange, white, and black 5.5" flat pads (like 5 each will do you good IMO). If you want to up the gloss even further, get some Menzerna PO85RD and use that (with a black pad) after the M205 for some crazy gloss.
This list will get you all the basics for Washing, Wheels, Tires, Drying, decent Microfibers, and even a kit to get you started doing Paint Correction!

Oh I forgot wax/seal. Oh boy thats a whole 'nother can of worms! To keep it simple and cost effective, just 1 recommendation for this purpose.

buffing with 3m products compound wool pad and polish with the black foam pad. the sealer ive been using wizards supreme seal and adams americana wax. i use the same stuff on boats that sit out and get hammered by the sun and sand and water and it holds up which is why i tried it on them little black pieces.

Thanks! Good idea to practice on the daily, but don't be afraid of it, the PC does great work and is easy to use. Don't be afraid of the speed on it. I'm almost always correcting with speed 6.

I can only imagine what kind of orders you put through! It used to amaze me how much a full detail costs. Not anymore. I can easily spent half of a day doing novice detailing and still not be 100% satified with the outcome. I'm going to order your products and give it a go. My arctic white paint is just waiting to shine. I'm a little nervous learning the Porter Cable buffer, but I'm going to start on my daily driver to get the hang of it. This might have been answered already, but what about vinyl, like a manta stripe? Are you able to wax that and everything? What about using a PC on it? Just curious because I'm debating whether I want to get the manta decal or not.
