Thanks for clearing that up for me. My current plan is to scrub gently with the Mother VLR and a small toothbruth. The leather and... well the entire car is much worse than I thought! Planning a 2-3 step on it.

Some other leather products I have are..

Meguiars Gold Class Leather Conditioner
Leatherique Pristine Clean

I'll get these damn things clean, it's just a matter of what combo is going to work best!

I'm not familiar with the Meg's stuff but I don't see why the others won't work. The secret is allowing the stuff to sit for a minute and start working before you do. You just don't want to wait too long because it will dry and defeat the purpose of waiting.

That totally depends on 2 things:

1. The level of perfection that you are trying to achieve.
2. Your interpretation of what "minor swirls" are.

What you may be calling minor may be hideous to those of us who can fix paint.

On the leather subject....(to my knowledge) ALL GM leather is "coated" leather. The only exception being 4LT, 3LZ, and 3ZR corvettes with the *upgraged* leather on the dash and doors...but even the seats in that very car have the "coated" leather. Conditioners can not penetrate this coating, so conditioning them is not really going to do anything.

On the C5 Corvettes, the sport seat inserts are leather but the out bolsters are vinyl. Now you can purchase the entire seats in full leather. That's what I did but the cost ain't cheap. Vette Essentials has some sweet packages and they are extremely picky about the leather they use.

Interesting... funny that they cheaped out for everything past that... Typical GM bean counters. Our interiors will never be Euro-nice until they start using quality materials.

No, M105 is more aggressive. However, #85 is made for wool pads and rotary buffers. It doesn't work as designed on orbital polishers like the PC. M105 is more versatile but if you were to use #85 on a wool pad, you're going to be cutting a hell of a lot of clear coat off the car compared to M105 and a PC.

The secret to using using the Mirror Glaze line (and the reason I don't use them to teach with), is understanding that there are MULTIPLE way to fix your paint with those products. The Mirror Glaze line is very customizable but it is a nightmare when explaining all the intricacies to a novice. They quickly get lost in how extensive the line is and all the variations that you can use.

Two questions...

1) Since my '02 WS6 has coated leather, is it recommended to use 303 Aerospace on it? I used it today after I cleaned the seats with meg's apc and they turned out pretty good.

2) The previous owner did not take very good care of the paint on my white ws6. There are a lot of rock chips in weird places like the spoiler and along the side of the car like the doors. They are easily seen since it's a white car and the chips are black. What would you recommend to fill these in? I was thinking of getting those little 2-in-1 paint repair things like you find at auto parts stores. I saw the GM arctic white one today which is what I would need. Is this a bad idea?

Also, what kind of applicator do you use to apply waxes and sealants by hand?

I have been meaning to try 303 but to date, I have not. With that said, the best leather treatment stuff that I have ever used is actually a over the counter product that I find at Pep Boys, Auto Zone and the like. One of the few OTC products that I use. I just can't remember the name of it.

You have two products to choose from and no, not those crappy 2 in 1 things you get at the dealerships. That will end up looking like a 5 year old fixed the chips.

Google Dr. Colorchip or Langka. Either product will work but you have to follow the instructions TO THE LETTER or your results will suck, period.
