I am creatively working around the stupid air cores. If we had tiny little steppers this would be easier 10 fold

For the curious: we're in the middle of the list (at https://www.facebook.com/FierosInGermany/ scroll down a few posts), Mac62/Sparky/Qcon are the next ones to be made...

Personally, I'm totally excited to get my hands on some of the boards I ordered today. These are the ones for the C6/G6/G8 steering wheel to make radio and cruise work with the earlier cruise control units. Hopefully I'll get a new vehicle to test this on really soon, I honestly can't wait! I'll post pictures. The only thing nicer than an OLED trip computer will be an OLED trip computer you can operate without taking your hands off the steering wheel!
After those, if the next batch is of 3 I'll be up! I can't wait

Took me several days here at work but I managed to read through the whole thread. Was anything more done to the gauge color being controlled by this? I seen mention of it a few pages back. And what are the key works to search for on FB again. That was way to many pages back.

The OLED board doesnt change the gauge color but there is an pulse width modulated output wire on the connector to power up to 800 mA of leds. PWM allows the leds to dim properly.

Default Boards!

The boards arrived!

Which boards? Well, mainly the steering wheel and cruise control boards, which you can see here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...f-body-15.html
The cruise controller also has an output for the OLED DashComputer, so that'll allow me to use the Info and Enter controls on the steering wheel!

But I also got about 10 more of the tiny boards that connect the OLED to the harness, so I'll be able to finish the 4 harness I have sitting at home. If all goes well I'll finish another DashComputer tonight, and 2-3 more next week.

Thanks for your patience, guys!

Do you think you could swap a gauge cluster from a 96 t/a with one from a later one with the electronic trip/odo???

No, the electronics are all different so the gauges wouldn't work right (assuming it would even plug in, not sure how the older ones connect on the back).

Thanks! I built four display base boards yesterday, now I'm out of display top boards. Have to order circuit boards again, but I have one set ready to ship this week, and three more when the display top boards get here in about two weeks. Believe it or not, I've already built 18 of these so far (including the early prototypes and betas...). Working myself through the waiting list, about halfway through.

BTW, it's great to get to know all of you a little this way and to put names and sometimes faces (and cars!) to the usernames!

Some goodies arrived in the mail today. It will be a while before I can install, but I'm still pumped about it.

Great! Yours arrived really quickly... it's amazing how sometimes it takes 2 days of travel within the US, and other times it takes two weeks.

One step closer to the full on instrument cluster. A couple minor details to work out.
