Paint suggestions Asap.
My friend owns a body shop and is going to paint my hood for free, he owes me a favor. I would like any suggestions any one might have. Please post pics if you have them. His business is kinda slow so he called me today and told me he could do it this week, so I have to decide asap. Tha car is black 02 SS with 18" iforged areo wheels, black painted calipers, cme, with silver SS badges and billet grille with SS emblem. It looks like SS LS1's car with out the 35th annv. stripes, so kinda dont want the 35th stripes because his car my car would look just alike. Thanks for any help.

Thinking of maybe the manta stripe or paint the whole scoop, cant decide what colors. I dont want something real flashy. My friend wants to paint the scoop dark metallic grey with a redish/black chromalusion pinstripe outline, do you think that would look like.

i liked steve 1969 ls1 "stinger" stripes, its the manta stripe just around the outline of the scoop. i think that in silver would look nasty. i dont much like the entire scoop painted.

Since you're openly asking for suggestions I'll add my two cents. I'd just leave the thing alone. In my opinion stripes and chromalusion hood scoops doesn't look right on domestic cars. A black SS is a nice looking car...painting stuff on the hood would take away from the lines of the car if you ask me.
