I know that Whistler did it on his and I'd contemplated doing it when I get another Fbody.

I don't see why you couldn't take the hardtop section from a wrecked car and graft on the Ttop latches so that it would fit.

thats what i as thinking. use the t-top latches off/ends, maybe run some tubing across the inside for reinforcement, and clean up the window/hatch sides. there is a mustang kit that does that where they use billet slats across the window/hatch area...

It would be easier for you because your top right now is all one peice, and can be cut off in one piece.

Its been done before, but just realize that your gona loose chassis stiffness. Also realize that you also loose some saftey if the car was involved in an accident.

I'll keep you guys posted in the next week or so of the process, I have SLP DD SFC's, and my Wolfe 6 pt Cage goin in this weekend, then I will cut it. I am using my old Hardtop skin as discussed above highstrength epoxy to the t-Tops I have, then having a headliner made to pretty up the underside of the fabbed top, I just need to decide on the front and rear lock if any....

i've been thnking about it or a while now. only thing stopping me is chassis flex from a targa is horrible. and the power i eventually intend to put down, its just not going to work

SFCs and a cage would fix that.

Wouldn't a cage kinda ruin the whole look of a targa top in the first place?

Well if your cage isn't flush with or under the front of the T bar roof, it would be noticable. Normally the cage wont be the first thing seen with a Targa.
