Appearance mods or go-fast mods first.......
Need your opinions on what I should do first, I already have the mods listed in my sig, and a ram powergrip hd clutch going in next month, so I am needing a direction to go in. I can either do the go-fast mods first, or the appearance mods. Keep in mind that I am in high school, I pay for gas, and I dont get paid that much. I do make decent money, it just takes me a long time to save it up, so dont give me really expensive suggestions, but all suggestions are welcomed. If I go the appearance route first, I would like to get a set of chrome zr1's in 17x9 and 17x11, a new slp ss grille, 15% tint, chrome antenna, and maybe some 1" lowering springs. If I go the go-fast route, I would like to get some sfc's, lca's, dual cutouts, and eventually a 12-bolt rear, MTI B1 camshaft, and some sticky tires. I hope to eventually do all of this, but I need to be pointed in a direction. So tell me what you guys did first and give me some pics if you want. I'll post up some pics as well, just keep in mind I am completely stock appearance wise. Also, I had thought about powdercoating the stock 10-spokes all black, lemme know what you think about that idea as well.

I've always loved the sleeper look, just never really had anyone else tell me that they liked it. Should I just do the speed and appearance at the same time??

i like what ninety9ta said....lower springs, black rims, berger panel, then gtet sfc's, lca's, ported throttle body, free mods, cut out.....i mean all this stuff is relatively cheap except the springs and installtion....but i just picked up a prokit for 120 shipped, so those dont have to eb too expensive either

stangkilr, its funny that you would post that pic, because that is what my dream for my car is. I love that car. I'm a little hesitant towards the berger panel right now, but I might get another panel and paint it and if I dont like it than just sell it. I wanna do a cam after most of the other bolt ons are on, so the cam has some nice supporting mods to go with it.

How much does it normally cost to get 4 wheels chromed?? I am gonna do most of these things after the clutch goes in, right now I gotta save up around 800 for a new clutch and everything, then I will start modding again.
Oh, and that pic that stangkilr posted, is the same grille I want to get.

IMO go appearance wise. Appearance mods don't break like go-fast mods do. At your age, you're investing a lot of money into mods, it's not like you're just using "extra cash" that you're making from your career. I've seen far too many friends invest tons of money into their car for the "go fast" mods and then it breaks and they're out all that cash they invested.
