Bottom of front fenders flaring out?
I went and looked at my car for the first time in a couple weeks the other day (its being garaged for now) and I noticed that the bottom of the front fenders on both sides was starting to flare out. The bottom of the fender by the door is starting to come away from the car. If you put your finger at the bottom of the door towards the front of the car there is about a half-inch gap. I didnt have a camera so I am hoping my explanation will be enough for someone to let me know whats going on...any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm I see where that could be it but it hasnt been on a lift in at least 3 or 4 months and it just happened in the last couple of weeks. So you are saying that if I get under there, I can either pop it back in or drill new holes? If I drill new holes will it mess anything up? I dont want it to look like **** basically is my only concern...

lol damn sorry dude im bad sick w/ a cold and not all the way there today. the tabs have 2 bolts that attach the bottom of the fender to the body. the tabs often break and fold over. if you take a hair dryer or heat gun, you can heat them up enough to bend them back straightdown with a pair of plyers. if the metal tab is bent you can simply hammer it back. no need to drill holes or anything.

mine were like this also, take a pair of vice grips and put it on the fender tabs close to the front of the car where its flared out and push the tab in, making the fender tab point straight down. I did this to mine and only took about 5 minutes.

The first thing most people do is grab a hammer and beat the tabs back into place without unbolting the fender. Your taking a big risk of breaking the tabs on the fenders if there not allready broken by doing this. The best way is to remove the two bolts, bend the metal tab back into place and then use a heat gun to soften the plastic tab on the fender and bend it back into shape.
If you dont heat the fender tab chances are it will break.

my way of fixing it (done twice, kramer tire and tread quarters..bastards)
lift one side of car with jack
find a 2x4 about 3 feet long
find decent size hammer or mallet
on the lifted side place 2x4 on damaged fender tab
strike 2x4 with minimal force until fender tab is back into place
repeat steps on other side
p.s.
tabs are stronger than you think
my wife ran over something and crushed my drivers side tab
i put the car on the lift and used a chisel, hammer, screw drivers, crobars to try to repair it,
