Jumped on the Bandwagon - Bought the halo/proj. headlights
Both of my stock bulbs have gone out so it's a good excuse to do an upgrade. After reading and trying to edumakate myself on the projector/hid setups, I bought the kit that seems to work quite well for other members and looks nice.
I'm thinking about opening up the case and seeing what I can do about the color and led's. I'm not too keen on having the led's on but guess I'll take it in stride as I do the install.
Also, stupid check me...but to take this kit and turn it into an hid setup, I'd just need to order the H3
HID kit from ledguages.com?
Hopefully they'll look decent and not turn my SOM SS into a ricepot.

Everything is finally here to start putting together!
Halo's from ebay store k2motors
H3 HID Kit from ledguages.com

Put everything together with the setup as it came from k2motors, their bulbs and all. H3 kit will go in as soon as some issues are resolved, key one being why bulb isn't getting power. dunno.
Anywho, here are the pics of how they look, the gap/fitment, the halo's (with one being dim/blown #$&^%!!) and condensation after a 5 min drive. *sigh*

They're pretty reasonably priced, $185 + shipping on ebay, not too shabby.

Not just yet on the high beams as I want to see if I really like the setup before I dump more money into it.
I think I saw someone post a pic of the cutoff with these and it was pretty weak because they weren't fully adjusted yet and the car was too far a way I believe.
I'll be sure to try and get a solid cutoff pic when I get them installed.
I'll keep this thread updated as it progresses.

I want a set of those!
Here this may be of some help when you install them, I guess they tend to have a bit of a gap to them (though my stockers have a gap too anyway).

Heres a pic from the other thread of the cutoff:
Ive been contemplating buying a set of TSX projectors, and seeing if I can just swap out the projector and still keep the halo. They seem to be a similar size... Its just a matter of me not being sure about wanting to spend like 500 bucks to see if itll work or not! haha

Now that you have them make sure you modify the brackets. If not then you will not be able to see anything but the ground in front of you. These two links should be helpful. I do agree that the projector is nothing to brag about. Stock lights do provide better lighting but to much glare than the projectors.

This one is optional if you do not like the LEDs.

aahh, there's that thread! Couldn't find it the other day when seeing what I could do to prevent that gap issue. Thanks man!!

I ordered and H3 HID kit from ledguages so I'm hoping it'll be a noticeable improvement over stock with a clean cutoff.

right on, thanks for the links as that's going to help! I haven't fully decided on the LED's yet. I know that if I do keep them I'll change the color of them (if possible).

hmm...wtf
So I'm working on the passenger side and am having some issues. I've got the high beam and high beam halo working (have halo wired up through foglights). All is good there...however, the low beam/projector and halo aren't coming on.
I plugged in the OEM connector to the ballast and have the other side connected via male/female setup. Here's a high res pic to show you how I'm connected and wondering if the connectors circled in yellow are there for cars that have different setups than fbodies.

Right now, I really don't know how I'm fudging this up....plug and play, eh? Any insight....?
PS - I have read about every lighting thread out there, no answers.
