Default Camaro headlight lenses (just the lenses!)

All you lazy asses at least vote! Please

I am getting sick of the sanding and polishing of Camaro headlight lenses and not having a store that only sells the lenses without the entire headlight assembly...

I was hoping to get some opinions on some type of online store that could sell just the lenses without the actual headlight for people who don't want to spend time sanding and polishing....I am also hoping that someone could chime in and possibly make it happen!

Well just a thought for now, and to make it even better it would be pretty cool if they came without the nipples...(if you know what I mean)

Well now are you talking about the whole headlight housing or just the clear plastic section? The flaw with the clear plastic by itself would require someone to take apart the headlight, which has a good amount of risk.

That would be so convenient: bake for a few minutes, pull off the old and on with the new, and presto new headlights in under an hours time. Would save my arm from all the PITA wet sanding!!

Yeah they will never look as good as they should because you can never remove all the tiny swirls, thats just the way plastic is...

And yes, I mean just the clear part....its not much of a risk if you have done it before. I did it my first time with no problems at all....both headlights! 20 mins in a 200 degree oven and presto!

That would be great! I'm not much of a miracle worker with these thing... tried wet sanding, rubbing compound, some bs headlight kitm... nothing worked. Now I just clean them off and throw some wax on (that gets em looking the best of anything I've done so far).

I'm tired of it, and I think at 212k, they've just had it.

For those that haven't done it... it's not that hard to pull the lenses off.

good idea but whats to come of this? you gonna bite the bullet and produce this? or do you know someone that could do it, and just seeing if the interest is out there? evryone on here would agree that this needs tobe produced, but finding someone to do it is the problem.

I don't know how I would do it myself, I don't even know anyone who sells stuff like this, mor do I know where to go to get something like this made....so I was pretty much hoping that word of mouth might get something started. I was also considering talking to some ebay companies and seeing if they would be interested, although I have some doubt about that...

yeah, sanding and polishing NEVER yields perfect results...and it sucks because for the most part the headlight itself is usually in great condition aside from the lense...

I used to have a "blown up" front end view from the dealer that listed all the parts for the front end. Well the lense was listed as its own part number and the housing also had its own number. Maybe go to the dealer...

^^jee I wonder what they would charge for one dont think I will be willing to pay what they want for it

my mom's Lexus has over 80,000 miles, same with my step dad's Toyota SUV, and both seets of headlights are in perfect condition, the SUV does not even sit in a garage! Does GM just use the cheapest **** available or what?
