Default T56 to th400

going to th400 and have the following questions

have the tci flexplate 399754 and the arp bolts 244-2901, what is the torque specs for this?

i have a vigilante torque convertor i dont have the bolts that go from the converter to the flexplate, what size are they and what torque spec is needed.. i read on vigilante website that their 7/16x20x3/4" can someone that has done this confirm??

finally i will be leaving the m6 pedals in there, currectly i have all my dash out since i did the heater removal and was wondering what where the wire that i needed to mod ( im keeping the m6 harness) in order for my th400 to work.

The wires for the clutch safety switch so you can start your car should be utilized in the park switch in the new shifter. That way it has to be in park or n to start it. You can also wire your reverse lights into the new shifter. Other than that the only thing you will have to do is reprogram the computer for the new reluctor wheel and sensor arrangement. If I remember right you have to make it multiply by 2.5 to get the correct speed out of it. As I'm still in the middle of my swap I couldn't say for sure. Since you are leaving your pedals in you could also just leave it alone and have to still push in the clutch to start it. I would think that would get old though.

What about a Haynes or Chiltons manual? Or go to the Chevy dealer and ask.

I called vigilante and they said whatever the stock stuff was torque down was good, and i saw in ls1howto that it said for flexplate to crank its 75ft/lb and flexplate to convertor 46ft/lb. i tried reading on it but no one seems to have a exact answere for this, they just say to put some loctite on it and torque it to at least factory settings and its good to go..

now jsut need help with the wiring if i leave my stock pedals and also on the speedo sensor my th400 came with it and not sure how to hook up.

The wire mods would seem easy, my prob is im interested in this but I already have an LS1 in an LT1 car and the speedo wont work due to the different signals, maybe mine will just wire directly and work unlike your situation.
