Yes get a cooler, it just makes sense. I paid like $68 for my B&M super cooler from ws6store and mounted it dope style on the driver side. Just do it, you could get away without one but just drive easy and keep your tranny temps down. But that defeats the purpose getting a convertor.

Absolutely! In fact, I bet Circle D recommends it as well as Performabuilt, FLT, and all the trans related sponsors on the board.
Camaro Jearmy is not lieing, its a fact. As for the one I have I went with the herculean Derale Atomic Cool w/ 400 CFM thermostatically controlled fan (on at 180', off at 170'). Somewhere around 220' the detergents and friction modifiers in the fluid will start to turn to sludge then the party starts
. If you dont want to spring for expensive fan mounted coolers then the B&M stacked plate Super Cooler will work great too.

Bigger is better, is the general rule of thumb. Most go with a B&M such as the 70264 as a good balance between cost and effectiveness. I went a bit larger with the 70266, but I had to purchase the lines and mounting kit separately.
And get a plate type cooler over a tube and fin type, which is less efficient.
