4L80, from 4WD to 2WD, what do I need?
Hi guys, I just bought a 6L truck engine with a 4L80 atached to it.
It is 4x4, so what parts do I need to buy to make it 4x2?
Who sell those parts? And who sell them used?
Its for a budget project.
Thanks for any help.

There is a ring on the output carrier, just no sensor. They use the sensor in the T-case. It is not a difficult conversion just a output shaft and case extension plus the orifice in rear plug.

For the swap you need these 4x2 parts:
Output shaft
Tail housing
Speed sensor reluctor wheel
Rear speed sensor
Orificed cup plug
Maybe valve body gaskets, I would get a whole paper and rubber kit (usually comes with the cup plug).
Probably around $400 worth of parts depending on where you get them.

4x4's DO NOT come with a reluctor wheel for the rear speed sensor.
